Statement RE Jimi Haynes

Jimi Haynes has never staffed nor volunteered at SubRosa.  No one in the SubRosa collective recognizes seeing Mr. Haynes in or around the community space.

We note that at first Mr. Haynes volunteered to the police that he saw a flier on SubRosa's public bulletin board.  Now Mr. Haynes claims he worked at SubRosa for a year.  To be clear, SubRosa has no connection whatsoever to Mr. Haynes.

SubRosa was not involved in the events of May Day.  SubRosa is a community space that offers literature, art, and performance.  Like many businesses downtown, SubRosa provides a public bulletin board for people to post fliers.

  1. you are the ones yelling FIRE in a crowded theater with your juvenile "anarchist" label. How would you like to come to your precious little enclave to find all your windows smashed out and paint thown all over the building? Come out and condemn these scumbags instead of pouting that you're being blamed. That's the action of 3 year olds. I'm white but certainly not rich nor conservative. I just don't want to live in a dung heap like you people seem to aspire to.

  3. Bad idea, bad concept, the people won't believe you. You add to the problem and claim innocence. It doesn't work. Grow up.

Hey Wes and the rest of you pussies -

Your little poser party is over.

Have you ever had the whole weight of the Federal government coming down on your ass? They have UNLIMITED RESOURCES. The FBI is just the start...you're gonna have the IRS crawling up your ass - hope you filed all your taxes correctly...they can go all the way back to your birthdate on 13 MARCH 1965. Oh yes, they know everything about you, including where you live on San Lorenzo Drive in Felton. I wonder who else would like to know where you live? Maybe the people whose businesses were wrecked during your sad little "worker's holiday"?

You tried to play a big boy's game and you are in way over your head now...the Feds are not the namby pamby SCPD. They are going to eat you alive.

Anyway, I figure you are looking at a minimum of 10 years in a FCC, maybe 15-20 if they want to make an example of you. My advice - cop a plea and try for 10. If you're lucky you might get into USP Lompoc - the rate of forcible rape there is a bit lower than the average. Another bit of advice - do whatever it takes to avoid Victorville. You won't last a week in that place.

But, you know, I'm sure it'll be worth it. Bravely smashing the windows of Velvet Underground was such a BOLD STATEMENT TO THE WORLD that I'm sure you'll become the next Emma Goldman. You're such a fucking poser that I bet you don't even know who she was...

  6. Are you kidding me? I'm not a supporter of the so-called anarchists at all but that comment above was absolutely ridiculous.
    Innocent until proven guilty, remember?

Your comments are threatening and I hope they investigate you next, "Santa Cruz Born and Raised".

  8. Came here to agree with Stephnay. "Santa Cruz Born and Raised," one of the foundations of this great nation is a criminal justice system where the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  9. You guys crack me up. I love it when "anarchists" fall back on your constitutional rights as soon as you start feeling the heat.

Where were the rights of the business owners when you were out wrecking their businesses? Or the rights of the people you beat up when they were trying to stop you?

Oh, that's right, they were "white, upper middle class and vaguely conservative" as your fearless coffee shop describes them, so their rights don't matter. Ironically, I bet that perfectly describes your suburban LA parents and upbringing.

You should find a more constructive way to deal with your family issues. Just because you didn't get that pony for your 10th birthday or that new BMW when you left for UCSC doesn't mean you have to take it out on family owned businesses. Come on - Dell Williams and Pergo's are evil, while Border and The Gap are left alone? You clearly have some personal problems to work through. Can I suggest counseling next time?
