What classes would you like to see this spring/summer??? What skills would you like to share? What types of classes would help grow more vibrant, self-reliant and mutually supportive communities? Part of creating a new world is resistance to the old one. Through this project, we want to contribute to changing the ways we learn and the ways we relate to each
-The Bike Church invites you to join us for a bike ride to Wilder Ranch this Saturday (4/15)! Celebrate the start of spring with a ride just for WTFE cyclists!!! All abilities welcome! Bring a friend and your lovely bike. Meet at the Bike Church at 9:30am, roll out at 10am. From @thebikechurch 🌼🍀🐛 (from SubRosa IG post - https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq589gGvcZQ/ )
The bike community can be an intimidating place to start out. Many spaces are occupied by cis men, and we have heard lots of experiences where humans are feeling nervous or not welcome in those spaces. The Bike Church wants to change this! We believe bikes should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender or financial means.
We will be going on the Coastal Rail Trail which is paved, and then to the dirt paths on Wilder Ranch which are not paved. If you have a road bike with skinny tires, use your best judgment and decide if you are comfortable riding on uneven dirt! Feel free to message https://instagram.com/thebikechurch if you have any questions / concerns / doubts.
-This Sunday, April 16th, 11am-2pm - ¡Tianguis Realmente Gratuito! Todo es gratis. Really Really Free Market. No money. No trades. Everything is free.

Trae lo que gustes, toma lo que necesites. Este mercado gratuito es basado en una economía de regalar. Please wear a mask. Thanks )and we’ll have some at welcoming table).

SubRosa is part of the Hub Community Center, in downtown Santa Cruz, CA which is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.

Comments on the SubRosa website are fully moderated. As a collective, we agreed that the purpose of the website was to promote SubRosa, not to provide an online place for lively and invigorating debate. We hope that the space itself is where conversations on the nature of anarchism and local projects will take place. That said, we occasionally approve comments that are informative or reflect a viewpoint we feel it is important for website visitors to read.
